FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Libertarian Party of Pennsylvania Endorses Statewide Letter Demanding End to Two-Party Monopoly

Harrisburg, PA – The Libertarian Party of Pennsylvania (LPPA) announced today that its Board of Directors has formally voted to sign on to a powerful declaration from a coalition of independent and third-party voters across the Commonwealth. The letter, addressed to the Republican and Democratic Parties of Pennsylvania, condemns the two-party system for its continued failure to represent the interests of everyday Pennsylvanians.

The letter specifically criticizes the recent Commonwealth Court race, in which both major parties advanced establishment-backed candidates who serve entrenched political and donor interests rather than the people of Pennsylvania. In contrast, the letter expresses strong support for constitutional attorney Josh Prince—someone the coalition sees as a true public servant.

“The Libertarian Party of Pennsylvania proudly adds its voice to this letter,” said Greg Deal, Chair of the LPPA. “For too long, Republican and Democratic establishment have treated Pennsylvania voters as pawns in their power games. The leadership of both partes work to ensure their interests are the only ones advanced, not the interests of Pennsylvanians.  Voters deserve real choices, not manufactured options rubber-stamped by party machines. We believe candidates like Josh Prince represent the kind of principled, liberty-minded leadership that’s desperately needed in our courts and across our government.”

By joining this declaration, the LPPA affirms its commitment to working alongside independents and other third parties to demand genuine political competition, electoral reform, and government accountability. The party emphasizes that the era of “lesser evil” voting is coming to an end, and that Pennsylvanians are ready for a bold new alternative.

Founded in 1971, the Libertarian Party is the third largest political party in the state and the nation, with over 200 elected and appointed officials currently serving in office in Pennsylvania, plus many more nationally. Like the Founding Fathers, Libertarians believe that you have an inalienable right to conduct your life as you see fit, without interference, so long as you respect the rights and property of others.
