Harrisburg, PA – The Libertarian Party of Pennsylvania (LPPA) has successfully met the requirements to maintain its status as a recognized minor political party in Pennsylvania based on unofficial results from the Department of State. This achievement underscores the Libertarian Party’s growing support and commitment to providing Pennsylvania voters with a voice for individual freedom, limited government, and fiscal responsibility.
In Pennsylvania, maintaining minor party status requires meeting specific vote thresholds in statewide elections. By surpassing these requirements in the U.S. Senate (John C Thomas), Attorney General (Robert Cowburn), Auditor General (Reece Smith), and State Treasurer (Nickolas Ciesielski) races, the LPPA retains its ability to place candidates on the ballot for future elections, continuing to offer voters a viable third-party option.
“The Libertarian Party is committed to giving Pennsylvanians a choice that aligns with their desire for personal liberty and limited government,” said Greg Deal, Chair of the Libertarian Party of Pennsylvania. “This milestone reflects our growing support and dedication to a free and prosperous Pennsylvania. I am extremely proud of all our candidates and volunteers who put in countless hours of work this election cycle.”
The LPPA is now focused on building on this success by preparing for upcoming local and statewide elections, supporting candidates who advocate for smaller government, lower taxes, and the protection of civil liberties.
